Flexible Employment Options
These vacancies are available on a flexible range of options:
Secondment Opportunities
Individuals will join the HfL Programme team but will remain employees of the sponsor organisation, e.g. NHS Trust/PCT. Under this arrangement the individual's substantive job will need to be held open for them.
Fixed Term Contracts
Individuals will be appointed as a direct employee of NHS London on a fixed term basis.
Please click on ‘How to Apply' to view our secondment or fixed term opportunities (full or part time, for up to 12-18 months).
Talent Pool Opportunities
In addition to filling the current secondment vacancies we would like to build up a bank of potential secondees, i.e. a pre-vetted "pool of talent". This would consist of a flexible resource pool of high quality candidates who could join the work of Healthcare for London at relatively short notice in the coming months, and maybe years, to fulfil particular roles as they arise within the project work streams within the overall programme.
It is hoped that by having individuals who have gained sign off from their employer that they can undertake a future possible secondment, we will be able to be responsive to the needs of the HfL Programme which will necessitate rapid deployment to certain project areas and posts. This will also enable us to provide opportunities to the many NHS staff or staff from other relevant partnership organisations wishing to contribute to this exciting and significant project and draw upon the wealth of talent and experience in Trusts and PCTs and organisations in the wider health economy throughout London .
Freelance Providers
As we also recognise the potential value of the skills and expertise of those who have recently retired or left the NHS but still wish to contribute to it, there may also be some opportunities for Contractors or Freelance Consultants who have built up a self-employed freelance business supplying individual consultancy expertise to NHS bodies.
We may have skills gaps which you have the depth and experience to fill on a short –term basis. You may be a clinician, a GP, a Finance or Information analyst, a Communications or PR specialist, or from one of any number of professions that we may need to tap into for a very limited period or for a specific task.
To become registered in our talent pool or on our list as an approved “contract for the provision of services” provider, you will need to submit a CV or business outline describing your areas of expertise, for the attention of Mandi Sehmi , HR Business Partner, at the following address:
